Shoreline Park, Monterey
Driving Direction from Salinas
- Head south out of Salinas on South Main Street
- South Main Street becomes Highway 68 at the Blanco Road intersection.
- Continue on Highway 68 to Highway 1
- Take the Highway 1 ramp (merge onto Highway 1) toward Monterey/Carmel
- Take the Monterey exit toward Fisherman’s Wharf/Monterey Peninsula College
- You will be traveling on Fremont Street
- Take a right on Camino El Estero (you will pass Dennis the Menace Park on your right)
- Take a left onto Del Monte Boulevard
- Del Monte Boulevard turns slightly to the right and becomes Lighthouse Avenue
- Continue on Lighthouse Avenue and take your first right onto Foam Street
- Shoreline Park is on your immediate right (near the coast Guard Pier)
Driving directions from Carmel
- Head north on Highway 1 toward Monterey
- Take the Aquajito Road exit
- Turn left on Aquajito Road
- Turn left on Fremont Street (merge over to the right hand lane on Fremont Street)
- Take a right on Camino El Estero (you will pass Dennis the Menace Park on your right)
- Take a left onto Del Monte Boulevard
- Del Monte Boulevard turns slightly to the right and becomes Lighthouse Avenue
- Continue on Lighthouse Avenue and take your first right onto Foam Street
- Shoreline Park is on your immediate right (near the coast Guard Pier)
Driving directions from the Bay Area
- Head out of the Bay Area on Highway 101 South
- Take the 156 West exit toward the Monterey Peninsula (approximately 50 miles south of San Jose)
- Take the Highway 1 South toward Monterey
- Take the Monterey exit toward Fisherman’s Wharf/Monterey Peninsula College
- You will be traveling on Fremont Street
- Take a right on Camino El Estero (you will pass Dennis the Menace Park on your right)
- Take a left onto Del Monte Boulevard
- Del Monte Boulevard turns slightly to the right and becomes Lighthouse Avenue
- Continue on Lighthouse Avenue and take your first right onto Foam Street
- Shoreline Park is on your immediate right (near the coast Guard Pier)
Parking:
Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the park, so be prepared and bring your quarters because parking is monitored by the City of Monterey. There is also hourly parking available in several parking garages (approximately a ½ mile walk to Shoreline Park) near Cannery Row. These garages are located at;
- Hoffman and Foam Streets
- Hoffman and Wave Streets
- Prescott and Foam Streets
