Please help me end Pet Homelessness
My name is Laura Ramos and I am a registered veterinary technician for the SPCA for Monterey County Spay/Neuter clinic. I graduated from the Hartnell Animal Health Technology program in 2000. I have been working here full-time since December 2003. I am responsible for inducing anesthesia for our surgical patients, monitoring the patients during and after surgery, and helping with initial examinations and treatments of shelter animals. I also provide Spanish translation services for the agency, mainly speaking with people on the phone and translating documents and client education sheets. I love working here at the SPCA because I feel that we are really here for the animals - it isn't about the money. It is so rewarding to provide veterinary care to a shelter animal and have that animal get better and find a permanent loving home. Working here at the SPCA also allows me to interact with many dogs and cats (and other critters, too!) - since I can't have dogs or cats at home I get my fix when I'm at work!
Help support my efforts as I walk to help end pet homelessness!
