Please help me end Pet Homelessness My name is Laura Ramos and I am a registered veterinary technician for the SPCA for Monterey County Spay/Neuter clinic. I graduated from the Hartnell Animal Health Technology program in 2000. I have been working here full-time since December 2003. I am responsible for inducing anesthesia for our surgical patients, monitoring the patients during and after surgery, and helping with initial examinations and treatments of shelter animals. I also provide Spanish translation services for the agency, mainly speaking with people on the phone and translating documents and client education sheets. I love working here at the SPCA because I feel that we are really here for the animals - it isn't about the money. It is so rewarding to provide veterinary care to a shelter animal and have that animal get better and find a permanent loving home. Working here at the SPCA also allows me to interact with many dogs and cats (and other critters, too!) - since I can't have dogs or cats at home I get my fix when I'm at work! Help support my efforts as I walk to help end pet homelessness! Thank you for supporting The SPCA for Monterey County. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. On behalf of all the animals, thank you for supporting us in finding loving and caring homes. |
